The Straits Times’s write-up for 3E Accounting – Work-life Balance at Firm Leads to Staff Retention.
In recent years, there has been a push towards understanding the notion of work-life balance. There are more and more people emphasize the importance of achieving and maintaining work-life balance. Work-life balance supports physical, emotional, family, and community health, without grief, stress or negative impact. Understanding the importance of work-life balance, Lawrence Chai, managing director of 3E Accounting, an award-winning accounting firm, has started his own accounting firm since 2011, striving to achieve a balance work-life culture. He has successfully created a workplace with a team atmosphere, flexible hours, and peaceful environment.
Starts small, Grows fast
Lawrence started everything from scratch, with few clients and limited resources. Yet, the business started to expand at an incredible rate. 3E Accounting grew from an accounting firm to a one-stop solution for SME, providing end-to- end services ranging from accounting, secretarial and taxation services, human resource services, business setup to advisory services, and the number of clients grew from “few” to nearly 1,800.
The 3E Accounting International Network is another cornerstone of the company. 3E Accounting International Network now has 38 offices in 27 countries, with 600 staffs as part of their independent network in Asia, the Americas, Europe, Oceania and Africa. They have a big agenda for the future where they aim to expand their global networks into 50 countries in 2018.
Flexibility is the Key
A well-maintained work-life balance will reap many positive outcomes in future. Productivity will increase when employees are healthy, well-rested, and feeling great, which will in turn, boost the economic growth in the region.
