Economic Overview & Business Opportunities

Why Invest in the 2nd Largest Economic Market in Africa

A strategically located country, the economic overview of Ghana and the business opportunities that await look optimistic moving forward.

Ghana’s Growth Factors

Some factors that have contributed to the optimistic economic overview of Ghana include the following:

  • High GDP growth that reflects its stronger institutions and prudent macroeconomic management.
  • Growing demands in the domestic market thanks to the rising middle class population.
  • Areas of investment with higher Return on Investment (ROI).
  • Consistent effort by the government to address infrastructure and regulate the environment.

The Best of Ghana

One of the main reasons the country continues to attract investors from around the world lies in its diversity. The economic overview of Ghana is so rich and diverse that there is something for everyone. Manufacturing, automotive, exportation, digital economy exportation, ship construction and more. Not to mention its rich resources that include industrial minerals and hydrocarbons.

These resources have been largely responsible for the high GDP growth the country experienced. It was also one of the primary reasons why Ghana was the world’s fastest growing economy back in 2011.

While no doubt Ghana is home to plenty of other business opportunities, the top performing sectors have been narrowed down to the following:

  • Telecommunications
  • Real estate
  • Financial services
  • Industrial
  • Services
