Public Holidays in Panama for 2019
The government of Panama releases public holidays in Panama, and the Panama Labour Law states all holiday concerns of employment. The public holidays in Panama are a mixture of religious and cultural as well as historical holidays. As governed by the law, all businesses, private and public sectors must close down during public or national holidays. Unless agreed before employment, employees are not required to work by law.

Long Weekends
The Panamanians, look forward to official holidays that are on Sundays. By the local legislation, Sunday is a mandatory off day; hence, any official public holidays that fall on a Sunday will be carried forward to the following Monday. An extra holiday and long weekends are typical in Panama.
